The King's Speech 7.00
People on Sunday (Criterion) 10.00
It's Only Money (Jerry Lewis) 10.00 (cheapest copy on amazon is 20)
Memento 7.00
My Week With Marilyn 7.00
The Bible 7.00
Blue Thunder 7.00
The Mikado (Criterion) 10.00
The Inner Life of Glenn Gould 10.00
Papillon 7.00
Won't You Be My Neighbor 7.00
Mutual Chaplin (steelbook - amazing set - Blu-ray AND DVD - cheapest copy on Amazon 70 bucks) 30
Universal Classic Monsters (8 movies, all the classics - Dracula, Frankenstein, Wolf Man, Bride of F, etc) 25 (cheapest on Amazon 37)

I dreamed that i was riding the NYC subway with DR elmore3003. He got off at Times Square, so I jumped off, as well - but then I couldn't find him.

I decided last night that we would sleep in this morning. Annabelle agreed since she loves sleeping under the blankets with me, and since she runs the place, Thatch and Stella went along with it.

So, I got up just before 7:00, so I got around nine and a half hours sleep. My schedule will be off by an hour today, but I am content with that.

Last night I had a dream about the Houston Grand Opera's Babes in Toyland, which I supervised and which remains one of my unhappiest work experiences. The dream wasall about trying to locate the misdsing orchestra parts for the new finaletto I had written.

I also dreamed that I had decided, once this hip replacement was over, to move back to Ohio. I would close the apartment, leave the keys with Ann and Jen, and move to Ohio where I would pay my NYC bills via internet. Then I would decide whether I wanted to move back to NYC or give yp the apartment and stay in Ohio. There were no cat concerns in the dream.

DR singdaw, since the last time I saw you was in 2010, when we recorded Rebecca Luker's song with the men at the Academy of Arts and Letters, I would very much enjoy a subway ride with you.

The brilliant arranger and orchestrator Don Sebesky has died. I met him at a Boston Pops rehearsal for either Sarah Jessica Parker or Nathan Lane. Besides being a fantastic artist, he had the worst handwritten manuscripts I've ever encountered. In 1993, I proofread his scores for Cyrano: The Musical when the show was copied by Chelsea Music Service, and they were impossible to read. One day I proofread the newly copied band parts to "Moonsong," and nothing seemed right, from chords to notes. I walked with Don Oliver to the theatre where the piece was read down by the orchestra. It remains one ogf the most ravishing and magical things I have ever heard. RIP, Don Sebesky.
