I found the composer Joaquín Turina because I saw a nice album cover of a record by Alicia de Larrocha playing Turina compositions. I found another Spanish composer, Falla, that way too, when I liked an album cover for The Three-Cornered Hat.

I took chances on tons of album because of the covers. The most notable of which was Bill Evans Conversations With Myself. A life-changer that I never would have bought if I hadn't fallen in love with the cover.

I’ve never found an inexpensive “Undercurrent” but that’s an all-time great Evans cover too.

I slept rather well, but the neuropathy is bad and it's very difficult to get comfortable. I went to bed around 8:30 amd woke two hours later to find Thatch settled in beside me. He stayed most of the night. Annabelle has returned to her bookcase aerie, from which she descended around 3:30 or so. Stella spent most of the night sleeping on the floor.

Cherry chip ice cream sounds wonderful. When I was working at Goodspeed in 1998, there was an ice cream shop right across the parking lot from the place where I was housed. They had the most delicious flavors. My favorites were ginger and peppermint stick. I've never seen either flavor offered by any ice cream manufacturer.
