it felt like something inside me was moving around

Wasn't there a movie about that?

I was thinking of some movie where an alien jumps out of someone's stomach or something.

I was thinking of some movie where an alien jumps out of someone's stomach or something.

The crew of the Nostromo was eating a spaghetti supper after successfully removing an alien that had attached itself to John Hurt's face.  While eating said spaghetti, Hurt began having "gastric" issues which culminated in the baby alien bursting from his belly.  The movie is "Alien".

First, the doctor.
My vision is this: the left eye operated on last October 20/30; the right eye 20/50.
I have a prescription for new glasses,

Then Staples Copy & Print Dept. where I had three scores of about 44 pages to scan and email to my email address.
There are six copiers that copy/scan/whatever; one had a big "Out of Order" sign on it. I went to the first one; it refused to accept my debit card ad I got a "Technical difficulties" pop-up on the screen.
I went to the next; it accepted my debit card ad scanned one score; I then put the second score in the feeder. It scanned half of the score and stopped. "Technical Difficulties" popped up on the screen. I removed the score and went to another computer. I checked my email on my cell phone: the first scan came through.
The next copier accepted my debit card and the two scores to be scanned were successful. I even got a  printed receipt.
I waited to be sure the emails arrived. They never did.
I went to Fatima, the manager, who went to another copier and scanned the two scores again. It is now two and a half hours later and the email has never arrived.
I was billed $19.60 for two scans I have not yet received.
Color me very pissed.

I took my $20 bill and my $10 winning scratch off to the gasoline emporium.

I got $25 worth of gasoline - that filled up Dennis the Smart Car.  And I bought another $5 scratch off ticket.

And I won $100.  That will pay for most of gasoline in June.

Congrats, Jrand!

It feels really good.  And it's been a long time since I've been on a stage with wings.  A lot of us stay just offstage and watch instead of relaxing in our dressing rooms.

I will think of you back there enjoying the show while I watch from up front.

DR Ron Pulliam, did you ever see or have any involvement with this student film by Jim Whaley?

https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=JM1TDyBN3jM&pp=ygUaamltIHdoYWxleSBjaW5lbWEgc2hvd2Nhc2U%3D

I was not involved, but I have seen it and was regaled by Jim about it over a phone call.  He was quite excited by it, but later decided filmmaking just wasn't his forte.

Dexter was played by Cliff Carson, only son of NFL defensive coach Bud Carson.  https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bud_Carson#:~:text=Leon%20H.%20%22%20Bud%20%22%20Carson%20%28April%2028%2C,Football%20League%20%28NFL%29%2C%20mostly%20as%20a%20defensive%20coordinator.

Cliff started acting as a kid, appearing as "Oliver!" on the Atlanta stage opposite Vincent Price playing Fagin.

I met Cliff once when he was a young man, but he had little to say to me.  Years after Jim passed, I communicated with him and we began a telephone correspondence that deteriorated after too many calls with him ranting about people I didn't know who treated him ill.  A bit of alcohol was behind those rants, which could go for a couple of hours.  I finally asked him not to call when he was drinking.  He never called again.

He has a web site where he features his art.   https://cliffcarson.com/

That's sad.

Thanks, DR Ron Pulliam. As I have never seen any of those films, I didn't get your spaghetti reference. Color me informed.

I shall soon be on my way to rehearsal.

I had kind of a DR ELMORE technology day....the tech director sent me the MOV. file of the interview I did with the GREASE director.

I uploaded it to YOUTUBE and then converted it to MP4 - and it was upside down.

I have spent most of the afternoon figuring out a program that can rotate back to normal....and keep it MP4.....finally got it done.

I need an MP4 in order to use it in a slide show for the GREASE lobby show.

From DR Ron:

Quote
I had to get on my knees at the cemetery last year before Christmas.  Big mistake.  I waited for several folks to depart before putting on the getting up exhibition.  It would have been quite memorable a sight.

Keith has an embarrassing video of me trying getting up.  I had to yell at a friend to stop trying to help.  People kindly want to pull me up by my bad shoulder.  If my shoulder worked I could push myself up.

I used to work with a woman who had lost her leg years ago to cancer, and the few times she fell at work, she'd tell people to let her get up by herself...she had her own way of doing it.

I learned, and the couple of times that I was around her when she fell, I'd just get near her (but not too near) and tell her to let me know if she needed help.  She never did. :)
