If it was/were/is Friday, I would have the night off.

But it is Thursday and we are doing Act One tonight....and production photos of GREASE are being taken....which means some of the boys will be wearing enough makeup to qualify as contestants on RuPaul's Drag Race unless I get there soon enough to stop them.

Up With The Sun by Thomas Mallon is a novel about a real life event - the murder of actor Dick Kallman.

It kind of falls apart in places where the fiction shines through - but it is an interesting account of a true story.

That reminds me that yesterday, the DH played for a funeral. The surviving widow had a career as a Hillary Clinton impersonator. And apparently they really do look alike!

Were we talking about autographs the other day?

When MR BK came to Indiana to see a production of THE BRAIN FROM PLANET X - he brought along former DR Chas Pogue.

Before the show former DR KURT and I and the two special guests ate a meal at Shapiro's Deli so that MR BK could see some genuine Indiana Jews.

MR BK autographed a photograph from The First Nudie Musical for me -- John Smithee on a camera crane.

And CP autographed my DVD copy of THE FLY.

I also have a few Carroll Baker autographs on lobby cards and photos.

My rarest signatures are two from Frances Farmer, a photo inscribed to me and a letter - and a few signatures from Allison Hayes in some cards she sent me when we had a brief correspondence in the early 1970's.
