The movie theater is next door to the Mexican restaurant we ate at yesterday.

We seem to be in a sweet spot as far as getting all that Canadian wildfire smoke is concerned. We can certainly see the effects of it, but it's nothing like it's been in NYC one hour to the south.
I’m glad the air is better where you live, DR Chas.
Vibes it stays that way.

Having now gone out to the store and back and being outside for a few minutes, I have to take that back. We were showing lighter than the areas to the south and out west of us on the maps yesterday, but I expect I'll find things different when I check again in a few minutes.

The whole area now smells like a neighbor has a good fire going in the fireplace or in a wood pit, it's very "overcast", and I can see an orange-ish or pink-ish tint wherever the sunlight (what there is of it) is hitting something white, like white tiles.

The NYC sky is currently orange.

Well, I was just writing away on No. 21 when I had to stop to feed the cats. Now I understand why Benjamin Britten had a housekeeper.

Yes with all the windows in the house open here I can smell the smoke that DR CHAS SMITH was describing.

I don't think we watched POLICE STORY on a regular basis - but sometimes I watched for a specific guest star.

I think David Cassidy had a police show that was a spin off from POLICE STORY....it was on for a few weeks....and I just remember how strange it was to see DC in lots of scenes with guys who were taller than he was.

My question for ASK BK DAY:

When you did an episode of a television show did you get to see the finished product before it aired or did you have to wait?

DR George, those little guitars are cool.

Thanks, Jane!  I hope Larry (my sister's boyfriend) likes them!

I'm not sure I want to leave the apartment tomorrow.

I just cancelled my monthly dinner meeting with the director friend tonight. The air officially smells like burning wood now, everywhere, and tomorrow morning is my appointment with the doctor whose title shall not be spelled here, and I'm not doing anything to compromise that. If it should for any reason get postponed again, it sure as HELL isn't going to be MY doing.

New York City Air Quality Hits Worst Level on Record
The sky in New York City rapidly darkened as a plume of smoke from Canadian wildfires blotted out the sun and triggered air pollution warnings.
Gov. Kathy Hochul of New York called the worsening air quality “an emergency crisis,” and warned it could last several days.

Wednesday afternoon greetings!  We also have an air quality alert due to the Canadian wildfires, all the way down here in SW Ohio.

DR Elmore, there’s an article in today’s Journal-News about Middletown Lyric Theatre’s 45th anniversary and their current production of “Sunday in the Park with George.”

Did they mention me or Jim Martin?
