Been remembering Glenda Jackson’s amazing body of work. I really loved Elizabeth R back in high school. But my favorites were her two films with Walter Matthau, House Calls and Hopscotch.

Recently, Fox "News" claimed that the White House had flown a "controversial new transgender flag that promotes grooming and pedophilia."

This is the SAME FLAG that Fox itself used to wrap its logo in its 2022 Social Responsibility report.

House Calls was my favorite, then maybe A Touch of Class.  I don't remember Hopscotch even though I am sure I saw it.

Why would anyone, much less Jimmy, crack corn?

There IS a story behind it.  A rather dark story.

It has another title:  "The Blue Tail Fly", but those words aren't in the lyrics.

In slang, however, the song is an indication of folks just sitting around and sharing gossip.

I guess you could say we all crack corn one way or another.

The thing is, I don’t care.

Apologies.

That was a Jimmy Cracked Corn joke, I hasten to add, lest you think I genuinely didn't care about the lore you presented.

I think I have about 30 of their albums. They never fail to put a smile on my face. Aside from the musical comedy, Jethro Burns was one of the best to ever play the mandolin.

Hopscotch was a spy thriller comedy. It was more Matthau than Jackson, but they were so good together.

When I was a kid, the whole cast of Sesame Street traveled to Hawaii for several episodes. Really dug that.

The Emmet Cohen trio is who we are hearing tonight. I don't know him, but apparently he's a real up-and-comer.

I forgot to answer DR JOHN G's question from yesterday - we are massacring the Broadway version of GREASE that contains all of the references to jugs, knockers, and rubbers.....but the lyrics of GREASED LIGHTNING have been softened somewhat.....

How have the reviews been from patrons of the arts? Audiences digging it?

People really don’t know know Grease, except from the movie.
