I awoke in the middle of the night from a strange dream.

In it, Sondheim was writing a new musical. He had a special writing place with a secret/hidden entrance.

There was also a tuna sandwich.

And in some way I can't recall now, those two things were closely linked.

I looked up A Transparent Musical, which appears to be a family affair, to see the cast and credits. The director Tina Landau directed the original production ofAdam Guettel's Floyd Collins, which I loved. The orchestrator, John Clancy, is an old friend from Goodspeed. He's doing very well.

I also looked up Water for Elephants, and Chris is not in it. I guess he's taking care of the family while Jessica works. The musical doesn't sound very interesting to me, but the original novel does.
