Very warm here.

We are recording two episodes of Conversations With Jack - the "how's it going" with the director of The Play That Goes Wrong and the "what are you looking for at auditions" with me for Morning's At Seven.

I am hoping our new multi million dollar camera works.....well $137....but it got about the same reaction when I reported the cost at the last meeting.

Good luck it worked well.

We spent the morning cleaning out books in our storage room.

I am not sure what it is, but i simply have never been able to watch "Take Me Out to the Ball Game" for more than about 10 minutes.

Something about the staging of the songs irritates the crap out of me, at least in the opening minutes.

I love the overture and it seems that there is really good music in the score, but I cannot bear to watch and find out.

DR JOHN G did you notice in BODY SNATCHERS in the coffee in the kitchen scene that King or Kevin calls the actress by her real name instead of her character name?

"Thank you, Dana."

I did not. And no, I’m not going to watch it again to catch that.

It isn’t very good. Kelly’s Irish dance is a bore.

I had huevos al a mexicanas (Mexican eggs) earlier. Eggs scrambled with tomatoes, onions, jalapeńos, ham, cheese and corn chips.

Food arrived, although the doorbell didn't ring and I would not have known had I not checked the UberEats site.

Hmmm, was it just left at your door?  Maybe the person only knocked.

Had hot dogs and chips n salsa. This after our little hamlet’s wee parade, which was fun and lasted all of 20 minutes.

I'm sitting five feet from the door - no one knocked. The instructions are always to ring doorbell.

Heading out now for my cheeseburger(s). Whether I have more than one depends on what else people might have brought that could be really yummy. But I am never averse to having two, in any event.

I celebrated the Fourth by cleaning out a couple of GIGABYTES of email - mostly old stuff that never had to be kept, but especially not this long. I even feel a little cleaner now. (Still showered, though.)

I suppose you could make a large note to leave on door that says "RING THE DOORBELL!"

I know of at least two times Fred Meyer left a grocery delivery outside of a building here instead of using the intercom to deliver it.  Both times there wasn't a name on the delivery for neighbors to either call or deliver the package.  Once it took several of us a good while to track down who the package belonged to.  The ice cream was basically liquid.
