E. Annie Proulx was a guest speaker at the local library (I went to many author events at this library).  I don't think she enjoyed doing these-lol.

Someone asked her, IMHO, was an intelligent question regarding the book.  She did not appreciate the question and was a bit rude about it.

I would have given it to her for her sour cream pound cake, which I loved.

She has about a half dozen pound cake recipes in the book (lemon, chocolate) and all were both good and easy. And delicious.

I’m 75% through Starring Adele Astaire. Not great, but enjoyable for what it is.
