E. Annie Proulx was a guest speaker at the local library (I went to many author events at this library).  I don't think she enjoyed doing these-lol.

Someone asked her, IMHO, was an intelligent question regarding the book.  She did not appreciate the question and was a bit rude about it.

Mom in 1970, multitasking

What a fun photo.

It was taken for the newspaper. They did a story on her when she won a blue ribbon at the Kentucky state fair.

Cool :)

That gal who won/has won all these state fair blue ribbons has just come out with a cookbook.

What was the blue ribbon for?

Yes, I would like to know that as well. And does John G. still have the award-winning recipe?

She won so many over the years that I don’t have a clue what it was in this particular year. But the recipe would be in her cookbook.

I would have given it to her for her sour cream pound cake, which I loved.

She has about a half dozen pound cake recipes in the book (lemon, chocolate) and all were both good and easy. And delicious.

I’m 75% through Starring Adele Astaire. Not great, but enjoyable for what it is.

And what is it? A woman’s novel. Not a romance. Not a theater history.
