I paid the horrible taxes. I even had to "call downtown" when the website wouldn't complete anything. It was just heavy traffic, what with everyone (including moi) waiting till the last minute before they're due. All done now.

Then I laundered the old and put new things on the bed, which is never easy when you have a cat helper.

Now I'm laundering the rest of my sh stuff, and ketchuping here while eating three (count 'em!) eggs, toast (three again, but these are smaller than average slices), a fresh sliced tomato, and drinking some good strong coffee.

I was in a good mood when I got up and dressed; I was in a good mood when I stepped out the door to take a photo of the piled up trash outside the apartment of The Man With the Bike, before Stella ran into the hall. I've been in a terrible mood since then, trying to lure thant damned cat back into the apartment. I will not be happy until she's indoors again.

I can picture you in the hallway yelling "Stellllllla"

Good morning.  Welcome to the “paving of the parking lot” day.   All cars had to be moved by. 7:30am or they will be towed.  I parked mine like 5 miles way….   Anyway, no action at 7:30 - but we still have a U-Haul parked in the parking lot as well as a Nissan… but that will be towed.  I finally saw some orange vest action on the dog walk (about 10 minutes ago) - it’s suppose to be done by this evening.  Yeah - I don’t think so.  We aren’t able to drive our cars in and out of the garage while this is going on.   AND, the Gardners just pulled in with their truck.  I’m in no mood today to deal with this - especially if we are like this tomorrow as well.   If you’re going to make a plan, stick to it!

TOD - Technically, both the brown Jesus Christ Superstar and the white Evita albums are studio albums as they weren't connected to a show, yet came out before any production was mounted.  As for a studio cast album that came out AFTER the show was open, I think the first one I can remember is Oklahoma! with John Raitt and Florence Henderson.

Kentucky Bourbon Butter Cake. Nuff said.

I would probably make this... However, most of my friends don't drink (weird how that happened).  Definitely saved, though

TOD 2:

The Most Happy Fella
Cabaret
The Desert Song
Kismet
1600 Pennsylvania Avenue/White House Cantata
The Boys from Syracuse

You're rather cvague on whose studio recordings these are, since there are several different studio cast recordings of some of these.

I forgot John Yap's complete Kismet. I love it.

Crazy day.

John McGlinn’s Show Boat

Yap’s Most Happy Fella, Kismet and Cabaret

Gordon MacRae on Desert Song

Lieberson’s Boys from Syracuse

I forgot to mention that we had one hellacious thunderstorm last night.

This morning, I discovered damage to my screened-in back porch.  Two screen panels were ripped away.  Sigh.

DR Jane, was this a corn on the cob night?

Now is the season for Maryland Silver Queen corn.
The kernels are white…sweet and crunchy.
Delicious when grilled in their husks on the barbecue.

Yes it was, though that corn sounds much, much better than what we had.  I need to ask Craig if he has had the corn.

DR Rodzinski you dinner sounded delicious.  I just wish I liked the very popular feta cheese.

One time (to this day I have no idea why), I mixed ketchup into a big plate of mashed potatoes.  I threw up all over the kitchen!

Yuck.

I'm with you there!  It's the only cheese that squeaks!

Monday afternoon greetings!  Another sorting and shredding day.  I unearthed my initial Miami University appointment letter, dated 50 years ago TODAY.

Cue the “Twilight Zone” theme…

Oh, my.

Maybe - very carefully - open the front door (don't step out!) and see what the world around you looks like?

After that, I didn't eat mashed potatoes again for literally YEARS!!

For years I couldn't eat an egg and spinach dish I used to make after getting sick and barfing for a day ;D
