CHRISTMAS AT THE MOVIES - 1962

Well, you've read the notes, the notes were nostalgic for the way the movie business once was, and now it is time for you to post until the 1962 cows come home.

What is everyone’s favorite Richard Fleischer movie?

What is everyone’s favorite Richard Fleischer movie?

Doctor Dolittle and Soylent Green are the only movies of his that I've seen.

I like several - The Narrow Margin is great, I like 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea, Violent Saturday, Compulsion, 10 Rillington Place and of course we have to have Soylent Green. Little known fact, unless you've read the first memoir - I met with him after Nudie Musical came out - he was set to direct a Dick Tracy movie and we talked about me maybe writing it - nice guy, fun meeting, the project didn't go any further.

The new computer is running great, but I have a ton of cleanup as well as a learning period of where everything might be or should be.

I slept well, but I've lost two days on the ballet, thanks to this computer transfer, and that is a concern.

DR George, I signed your petition. Thanks for posting it.

I think Trump's Truth Social, since it's mainly lies and propaganda from a serial liar and since its readers are fools and MAGA morons, should be shut down. It has nothing to do with Free Speech and all to do with spreading inaxxurate information.

Hopefully, Ann and Jen will come down and help me take the empty iMac carton and other detritus from the setup to the basement. I plan on spending most of the day ar my worktable.

What if hard-hearted Hannah wasn't from Savannah after all, but instead from Texarkana?

I think I should like to live in Rancho Cucamonga. Just because it would be fun to say "Cucamonga" frequently.

It really is shocking, the difference in the movie industry from then to now. Legit theater, too. There are only one or two movies released per year now that I have any interest in seeing.

CNN is featuring "8 cottage cheese recipes you've got to try," so apparently they're monitoring HHW.

I must get me to church, too, but just for a rehearsal.

And a short one this time, not like yesterday’s which ran nearly four hours.
