HEAVEN KNOWS, MR. ALLISON

Deborah Kerr and Robert Mitchum
(both exceptionally wonderful in this film)

Directed by John Huston

Thanks, Jrand, for the update on the planets. So nice to have another Mercury retrograde to look forward to (not). Driving in reverse, huh. Maybe stuck in molasses.

Jane, yes, I’m reading Rhys Bowen’s The Paris Assignment. It’s quite good. I think you’d like it.

Sorry to hear about you garden, John G. It’s always interesting to see which plants recover. Some gentle rains would help.

Singdaw, so sorry about your car! Vibes you find a repair shop who does a good job. But it’s driveable, right?

So, the audition happened...  and since I didn’t have a monologue, the MD (who is a good friend of mine) asked what my favorite show was (Sunset Blvd) and what my favorite song was (The Lady’s Paying) and then he said to recite the lyrics.  So - I did a two person monologue (Manfred and Joe) up to the first “all you need to know’s the lady’s paying”. It was a riot lol

Now I'm preparing to make a black forest trifle to take to the cast party tomorrow.

VERY hot and humid today in Maryland.

I had started a garden of herbs from seed a month ago. It was doing so well….parsley, dill, chives, cilantro, mint….everything was growing, and the fresh herbs were delicious.

Today they are brown and crisp. Don’t think they can be salvaged, but will try.

Oh, no.

I finished both Nos. 34 and 36 today. Tomorrow I will lay out No. 37, which is mostly a repeat of No. 11, and take the rest of the day off.

Thanks.  I expect I will like it, if only my library had it.  I can only get the ebook on my kindle app where I don't want to read it.

To my surprise the library doesn't even show it as a possibility it might be ordered in the future.

That was a good idea.

I futzed and finessed and wrote six new pages, then took too long of a break, so back to work now.
