It's supposed to start at 5:15 at someone's house (I have the address), but the rehearsal for the show proper is at 6:00.

I can only assume that we'll get out of glee club rehearsal with enough time to get to the show rehearsal.

Fortunately, the house is close to the show rehearsal space.

P.S. -- My, that was a long post. Sorry for the sermon!

ChasSmith, we could be on Page 87 if you had broken that up into smaller chunks!

BUT...like the doctor and DR Ron Pulliam and others say, do plan on it sooner rather than later. My particular reason for saying that is that one of my favorite relatives (well, one of my two favorites, and we lost BOTH within the past year) was in dire need of a hip replacement, but she allowed her *ungrounded* fears of the surgery to justify her refusal to have it, and her physical comfort and mobility so badly deteriorated over the next few years that I believe that's what helped finish her off in her early 80s, when she had been assured by all of her doctors all along that she was an excellent candidate for it. I don't want to see that happen to anyone else.

I am very sorry your aunt didn't have the surgery that would likely have given her a better quality of life.

Do you have to go far to get to the reshearsal?

I spoke to Joshie, who's very happy I postponed since he's worried about our finishing up Once Upon A Mattress on time. Then I sent Dr Kassipidis' surgery scheduler an email asking if I might book the last week of December or the first week of January for the surgery. Now I wait.

The definition of revert is "return to (a previous state, practice, topic, etc.)."

Can someone please tell me why it is now common for reporters/writers to say revert back instead of simply saying revert?

I would not have been able to read it, but happily I did as it was presented.

The house for the "Glee Club" rehearsal and the show rehearsal space are both here in Tumwater, within a mile of each other, so they're all very close.

I don't think it'll be a problem.  The "glee club" only sings one song, and it's only two pages long, so it shouldn't take very long at all to go through it.

Whatever the reason, it's probably the same as why some people now say "based off of" (which makes no sense) instead of "based on," which is grammatically correct.

Two of those things I can't stand:

"Based off" instead of "based on", and "based out of" instead of "based in".

I originally would hear the latter from salespeople in the industry I worked in. "My company is based out of Denver." No sir, actually, it's based IN Denver. You're welcome.

At lunch, Josh and DR Elmore were talking a little bit about Mattress and I innocently asked why there was so much mystery surrounding the orchestration, whereupon Josh launched into a list of reasons and things to consider that was fairly mindboggling. I would of course have expected that from the DR, so it was fascinating to hear that kind of discussion from the adopted son.
