Why is thirteen called a baker's dozen?

The term baker's dozen is thought to originate from the old practice of bakers adding a thirteenth loaf of bread to a batch of twelve loaves to avoid selling underweight bread.

And, just venting for a moment about a pet peeve: why does Apple Music make hinkey with album titles? It is crazy-making trying to search for something.

If you search for "Oklahome" or "Oklahoma!" the new album doesn't show up. It is listed under "Rodgers & Hammerstein's Oklahoma!"

Annoying and self-defeating.
