I'm off to work at what SHOULD be our last day of homelessness. That is, if Charlie shows up to finish his work. If not, I don't know what we'll do come Sunday. Personally, I think we should call in someone else to finish the job, but the only one who can fire Charlie is the contractor, who is on vacation. Rant over.

Jose, thanks for the reminder. I will go there before I walk to K-Mark. It's closer and they will probably have something.

Good morning!

I saw it!  I saw it!  I saw the shuttle and the space station going overhead this morning!

I had the news on and they said for you go outside right now you would see them going overhead in about one minute.  I did and I DID!  How cool is that?!

Have a happy and safe day everyone!

I have a shuttle err make that bus to run and catch.   ;) :D

Hi Hisaka, ICU!   :)

DR Danise, years ago, they announced in the paper that the shuttle was going to cross directly over the Philadelphia area.  I was living in Collingswood, NJ at the time (very close to Philly), so I went out at night to try to spot it.  I followed a couple of objects (satellites, I guess) with my binoculars, but I didn't see anything that I thought was so special.  Suddenly, something big crossed my field of vision through the binoculars.  Then I spotted it--the outline was unmistakable.  It looked like an airplane, only much higher up and moving fast.  As it moved towards the horizon, I could see the engines burning blue behind it.  TO me, it was an amazing sight that I've never forgotten.

I’d like to apologize if I made someone unpleasant in using the word. I didn’t mean it that way. Since I’ve seen the word in some previous posts and in dear BK’s notes and I felt I could use it in its original meaning here at HHW, I only used the word.

DR Hisaka, like everyone has said--there's no need to apologize.  It's refreshing to see the word gay used in its original sense.  But, of course, with the double meaning of the word, it gave us all a laugh and a smile.  I thought your post was cute.

Hurt my arm a bit, so I'm typing a little less, but in my CD player:

Musical of Musicals - cast album
Epiphany, The Best of Chaka Khan
Noel Coward's After the Ball - cast album
Cyndi Lauper - She's So Unusual
Wicked - cast album

Just recently took the Avenue Q cast album out of the CD player, that one was in rotation for a long time.  Also was hooked on Celine Dion's All the Way - A Decade in Song and Josh Groban's debut album for a long while, and those just came out of the CD palyer the other day, but please don't hate me for that.

As to foliage, I was very disappointed that THE GREEN HEART, the musical version of A NEW LEAF (or at least based on the source material for A NEW LEAF) didn't do better.

I'm liking being a Junior Member rather than a Newbie.  It's been years since anyone called me a Junior anything.

DR FJL, Cyndi Lauper's She's So Unusual is one of my favorite 80s recordings--it never fails to lift my spirits.

...And we're due for some storms this afternoon too.  But, it's also supposed to cool down a bit starting this weekend - well, at least from the upper 80s to the lower 80s.  But the evening temps are forecasted to be in the upper 50s and lower 60s, so...

*I will say, the one thing I was NOT expecting up here at Williamstown, was the lack of air conditioning in most of the public spaces.  Yes, the two mainstage complexes have a/c, but the dorms don't (I guess since it never gets that hot during the  school year...), the rehearsal spaces don't, and some of the performances don't either.  Very interesting.  Not complaining, just pointing it out.

...However, I'm guessing the "stars" may have better accomodations.  However, I do believe some of the cast of Bus Stop is staying in the dorms.  -Oh, and one of those stars happens to be Logan Marshall-Green who was on "The O.C." for a season and a bit.  I have a feeling that if Williamstown was closer to a major city, he'd be having tons of admirers waiting for him in the Quad each day.

Well I really enjoyed Big Brother last night.  I am very excited that we can get Kaysar back in!

If anybody feels like it (even if you don't watch the show).

Here is the direct link.  It seems like all of us on this board unanimously want Kaysar back in the house!

77 SUNSET STRIP (SNAP, SNAP) reminds me of Surfside 6

Surfside 6.
(It's an address?)
Surfside 6.
(For a houseboat?)
Surfside 6.
(And where is it?)
In Miami Beach!
Cha cha cha
Cha cha cha
Cha Cha Cha--
Cha!

It's a banner day for Ms. Cyndi Lauper here on HHW! I may have to go home and listen to her as well.

I passed out last night. Not literally 'passed out,' but more like CONKED out. I think I fell asleep around 8pm and woke up at 11:30. Of course, I hadn't eaten any dinner, hadn't taken a shower, didn't post at HHW. My schedule was all out of whack. I finally got back to bed at 2:00 (after Oprah) and fell asleep around 5:30. Oy!

TOD:
CD Player (Home Environment): The same stuff that's been there for three weeks - SPAMALOT, PIAZZA, SPELLING BEE.
(Work): Dolly Parton's Greatest Hits (Homemade compilation)
(MP3 Player): Highlights of the 04-05 B'way season.
DVD: Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind
VHS: Nothing. Zip. Nada.

I know it's a couple of days late, but I just got a call from someone at PICAYUNE High School in PICAYUNE, Mississippi.

Wasn't the word of the day on Monday or Tuesday?

I had a little too much fun last night. But I'm feeling ok and will be fine by tonight.  I need to jump in the shower, actually standing in the shower may be easier, and get to an 8:30 am meeting.

Gotta go vote for Kaysar again and be on my way

"All decisions by CBS regarding the vote and the results are final and not subject to challenge or appeal"

I find this interesting.  Obviously CBS will put whoever they want back in the house no matter what the vote is

DRDanise, just as long as you're not abducted by aliens; I already have a few of those in my family.

 I'm married to an alien

He's got an offical card from the US Government proving it
