Well, fellow Dear Readers. They finally got hold of Charlie. He said he'll come this afternoon. Unfortunately, the fire marshall got here at noon. So we failed.

I planted foliage all morning, until it got too hot. My foliage passed inspection, by the way.

Have you read Edd's autobiography?

Re: Big Brother 6 LIVE FEED SPOILERS.

Reading the canoe site, I am unsure who Howie is playing.  He is told April/Maggie that he wants to nominate Sarah/James. And he has told Sarah/James that he wants to nominate April/Maggie or one of their side.

At first I was sure he was fooling April and Maggie.  But he sounds so convincing.  However, it seems rachel wants to keep james and sarah. And i think she is the boss of their team. :)

Btw, it was reported on one of the BB sites that Kaysar is something like 94% popular. So i think the producers know that he is coming back. I think they see how popular he is.

I also wanted to comment on the comment made earlier about the fact that Kaysar was the first evictee not to have a videotape played of his partner's farewell:

I would think that the reason for this is that his actual partner (Michael) is already gone.  Sequestered, apparently, but gone.

And I do wonder what made Ashlea break sequester.

Anyway, TOD:
VCR:  Tape ready for tomw night's BB6, since we have weekend guests.
DVD:  Primed for the final episode of QUEER AS FOLK, Season 3.
CD/Car:  BAck to the Paper Mill FOLLIES, which I am listening to alternately with an old compilation cassette.
AOL Radio at the office, which seems to be having some problems today.

Off to the partial dress rehearsal of PIPPIN.

Crossed fingers pleased!

DRMBARNUM is taking a LONG time catching up on posts.  He must be trying out his newly refurbished computer on other sites!

Media Check:

CD: ROUGH GUIDE TO RAI: Pop/Club/dance music from Algeria.

DVD: ANGEL WITH THE IRON FISTS (1965) Hong Kong movie about a female James Bond. I am having a hard time getting through it...not quite as much fun as I had expected it to be.

VHS: Ready to tape Saturday's BIG BROTHER.

In my CD player:  several radio shows from the 1980s hosted by members of The Manhattan Transfer that I got from someone who lives in Utah.  I'm listening to them to make booklets for them.  It's not too easy to find names of songs or performers that they don't announce!

In my VCR (at home):  tapes to tape tonight's episodes of "Whose Line Is It Anyway?" and "Battlestar Galactica."

In my DVD player:  "Maurice" (the 2-disc edition) that I got from eBay, then "Get Bruce" and "Boy Meets Boy:  The First Season" (disc one)...both from Netflix.

But, I'm going to leave for Portland within the hour!  My car is gassed up and I'm (almost) ready to go.  Just have to finish up some things at work...and I have my sister's camera, so I'll be able to take some spiffy pictures. ;D

I shall soon be on my way to a birthday party for my buddy Terry's kids. His ex wife will also be there and I haven't seen her since December...so I am very much looking forward.

Then early tomorrow I will head down to Triangle lake for the weekend!

BK, I have also been enjoying the DRAGNET dvd set! Ms. Peggy Webber starred in that episode that took place in the bank!

Up next will be a wonderful episode, again with Kent McCord, where he plays a rookie cop who is accused of robbing a store while on duty....good episode! And Kent is quite a looker in this one!  ;D

Some years ago  we were at our time share in Kissemmee when the shuttle was going up.

Please, don't mind my correcting you, DR Vixmom!

It's Kissimmee! I lived there for six years some years ago! :)

Yes, sometime between the first episode he was in and the one you mention (just two months) he changed the McWhirter to McCord, probably on the advice of the casting guy at Universal.

For RLP and those who need to know: Mr Breitenberger's birthday was last week. He was born in 1933. His second single (with "friend") was "Like I Love You". Miss Ingolia was born in 1938. I'm not sure that I can come with sixteen reasons why you need to know that.

I would think that the reason for this is that his actual partner (Michael) is already gone.  Sequestered, apparently, but gone.

Janelle would have been the logical choice to make the farewell comments to Kaysar.  In past BB's, there have always been parting comments for the evicted from a myriad of houseguests.

This season, they've played only one parting comment from the "secret" partners, but they surely had contingencies for solo players whose partners had already left.  Nothing I've read would indicate that parting guests without partners in the house -- a secret twist that is "no longer a secret" -- would have to leave without a farewell.   Since Kaysar and Janelle teamed up after each lost a partner, CBS would have no reason not to give Kaysar a parting comment from Janelle...except for thinking he would be returning.

Of course, that's just my opinion...

While we were waiting for Charlie to show up, Jim began making an office for me. He is using oak pews from the old church to make countertops.

Today I had to go to the City office to pay for a permit. I saw this piece of art inside the City building. I don't know what it means:

Good Evening!

Just briefly... Checking in...  A good day of rehearsal... And after the brief rain we had earlier this afternoon, the temp feels like it dropped 20 degrees...  It it so nice outside right now.

I'm heading out to see one of the mainstage shows tonight - not sure which one...  And then there's another director's project... and then something called "The ZOO"...  Apparently, I should bring my camera to "The ZOO"... We shall see...

Laters...
