Listening to Herc, a retelling of the Hercules myth by Phoenicia Rogerson. It’s fun, but the writer doesn’t like her subject, which is odd. It’s told from the perspectives of all the people in his life.

I have mopped all the floors that can be mopped.

I have put away the dishes.

There is a load of laundry in the washing machine.

I got rid of two MORE bags of stuff from the closet.....

And now I'm going to watch television.

But Oscar Brand’s bawdy sea shanty “Backside Rules the Navy” often runs through my head.

Mom is reading again, so I sent her two books that I hope she likes. One is The Thursday Murder Club. The other is Louise Gluck’s Marigold and Rose about twin babies.

DR Ron, it isn't suprising you dreamt about the navy after your phone conversation, but what a dream for you to still be haunted by it.

I am very happy your mother is reading again.  I can't imagine she won't like The Thursday Murder Club.

I'm glad I switched my primary physician to the doctor Keith switched to and really likes.  Yesterday I received a nice letter from my previous doctor saying she is retiring.  Sad is that she could not find another physician to join her practice and her patients would need to find new doctors. She said the office looked for years to for one, and that even Physician Assistants & Nurse Practitioners are few and far between to find.

It was a heartfelt letter and she obviously feels bad retiring without another doctor in place.  I think she was ready to retire and burned out when I left and suspect she only stayed as long as she in order to find another doctor.

Sunday afternoon greetings!  We’ve put in a good 4 hours on moving prep and are now taking a lunch break.  When we’re finished, we’ll go out to the house with some more hand-carry items.

I just had an hour phone call with a high school student who was told to contact me as a curator of the John McGlinn concert bootlegs. I will be sending him mp3 files of various McGlinn concerts of shows written between 1900 and 1940.

Will the movers be able to move and unload all in one day?
