For dinner today, I am going to Joy’s house for Chinese hot pot. We’ll be cooking up beef tenderloin, shrimp, scallops, mushrooms, tofu, cabbage and more.

Every year I see that NY Times recipe, and think that I really want to try it.

I have made that cranberry curd tart, Singdaw. It’s quite delicious.

Thanksgiving afternoon greetings!  We had 2 Spectrum guys here this morning getting our TV and wi-fi set up.  They were finished in time for us to see the Macy’s parade.

In the meantime, we're doing something different, just this time. We're bringing in a completely prepared meal - from Stew Leonard's. Full turkey and all. But no prep, no cooking, just some reheating. It'll be fun.

Same here, DR ChasSmith, but ours is from Bob Evans.  We ordered dinner for 4 so we’ll have leftovers.

From DR Singdaw:

Quote
If I attempted a pumpkin roll, I imagine the cake would crack into a million pieces when I tried to roll it.

The cake stays moist as you roll it in a cloth and let it cool rolled for half an hour.  Unroll it, spread in the cream cheese mix, and roll it back up.
