Well, you've read the notes, the notes did the Turkey Trot and gave thanks, and now it is time for you to post until the Thanksgiving cows come home.

George, Canadian thanksgiving is similar but not as big a deal. Happens in October. They get together with family and eat. I do notice that they still jump onto the US Black Friday sales bandwagon.

I slept well until the alarm rang, It was black as pitch outside, and I thought it was awfully dark for 6:20, the time I set the alarm for last night. Well, I forgot to turn off the alarm for 5:40. I was not amused.

I dreamed that for some mysterious reason I and a group of travelers was quarantined in Buckingham Palace. The royal family was rude.

I plan to work on the Mattress songs most of the day. Around 3:00, Thanksgiving dinner is arriving from Cafe Viand, courtesy of Joshie and John Bell.

I have much to be thankful, although at least one of the three big events I was hoping to close the year may have fallen through, and I still have no idea what's going on with an Annabelle & Thatch publication date.

I can't say I have my health, but I am very thankful for HHW and the many friends I've made here, my brother Randy and his wonderful wife JoAnn, the friends I do not see as much as I'd like, the fact that I'm still working,  and that Annabelle, Stella, and Thatch are in good health.

I am thankful for this here site and the many good friends I've made here.

I guess I'm a little behind, too, because I don't know what time we're expected to show up at the Vixes' for dinner.

In the meantime, we're doing something different, just this time. We're bringing in a completely prepared meal - from Stew Leonard's. Full turkey and all. But no prep, no cooking, just some reheating. It'll be fun.

I will be riding with my cousin Butch and his fiancee Sharon to Simpsonville SC to the home of Butch's daughter Ashley (my favorite first cousin, once removed), to enjoy Thanksgiving with her and her family (four boys plus husband Clay Keller).

The trip is about 90 minutes each way.  I am providing iced tea -- both sweet and unsweet.

Despite my protests that I know how to cook, I get relegated to bring tea or rolls or ice..like I have no skills of any kind.

Oh, well!!

The parade is on. I don't give it my full close attention, but I enjoy it for a while.
