I do it all the time to reduce the amount of bread I eat.

Avoid this croissant cat, then.

That's amazing!

I sympathize, George. Phone trees are sooo irritating! Customers, who had an issue to begin with, are understandably angry. It isn’t fair to the customers or to the customer service people who now have an angry customer to deal with. I feel it hurts business and the company’s reputation. I’ve often thought that people would be less stresses without phone trees.

I’m glad the problem was finally solved.

Thanks, Jeanne.  And I certainly realize that it's not really the fault of any customer service person, just the way all of it was set up by the company.

I do like when croissants are filled with almond paste.

Me, too.  Almond paste-filled croissants are really good.

Wow.  I am only on load 3.

It's been far too long since I've done any laundry. ::)

Oh, oh ;D

Tugboat Annie's was a total success, both food-wise and conversation-wise.

Very nice.

Do you recall having good almond paste/marzipan treats in Germany?

Our new mattress can be delivered on Monday, except Sleep Number won't pick up their horrible mattress until the following week :(

DR Vixmom I am very glad you are pleased with your Sleep Number mattress.  I wish this wasn't making my back hurt more every day we have it.

As for my hair, I can heat up some water on the stove, then wash my hair over the kitchen sink. Or I can wait until Monday evening, when we’ll hopefully have hot water again.  As it happens, I have a hair appointment scheduled for Wednesday.

In my condo complex (and everyone else who lives on this street), we got notices that starting tomorrow Monday the water service will be turned off to each property as they work on making connections to the new water main that they'd been working on for the last couple of months.

It's going to start tomorrow and continue each day until all the connections are made...however long that takes.

Do you mean Monday vs Sunday? Sunday is such an odd day to begin.

I should show that list to Keith as he is far more concerned about expiration dates than I am.

Neither I nor my mom are very concerned about dates on food packages.  If it's unopened and doesn't seem off, I'll consume it.

Watching The Shop Around the Corner. It was slightly irritating in the beginning, but I have warmed to its many charms.

Oooo, I should watch that.  I audition She Loves Me next week!

I love She Loves Me!

It was okay.  We were looking at the sailboats that were moored there, but we could see the tip of Mount Rainier far off in the distance.  It was chilly outside but nice and sunny.

I assune we did, but I don't specifically remember.  We only lived there when I was 4 to 7 years old...but I do have some memories from there.

In the call center I work in, we have a team of only 9 answering calls from the entire state.

Our hold times sometimes go to 45 minutes during the peak season, which is now.

I feel badly about this, but unless the state coughs up more resources, it will remain thus.
