The California DMV written test has always been exasperating. It often includes some esoteric rule that almost everyone is likely to miss. It’s clear they want you to study the booklet. I was sooo surprised and pleased to see the online test. It’s just the basics, and if you select the wrong answer they explain the correct answer, which the written test never did. How will you learn if they don’t tell you what’s wrong? I don’t understand why they’ve kept the written test when the online version is so superior.
