Thanks for the video link, DR John G.

That led me to this video, with excerpts of Ann Morrison's "Merrily" show:

Thirty six degrees and cloudy here.

I'll take it for December 29.

I arrived on the 23rd and had a nice time with my family.  I managed to see everyone, except my nephew, so I’m happy about that.  Last year I only saw one of my two brothers and his family because of the historic blizzard.  My sister, former DR Kate, sends her regards to HHW!

Am I reading this correctly?  Your happiness is because of being with lots of family and NOT the absence of the nephew?

Yes, that's what I meant

How's the weather around Buffalo, DR KevinH?

It was over 50 degrees on Christmas Day and pretty mild ( with rain) the days after

Wednesday evening we went to Cafe 210 for dinner.  That’s the fancy new name for the dining room in the apartment building where Richard’s mother lived.  For the first year we live here we get a dinner each and a lunch each every month.  Had to use up our December tickets, so we had lunch there today, too.

Did you have a good lunch?

Lunch was fine.  I’m not sure I’d pay to eat there often, but we’ll use the tickets for the “free” meals as long as they keep sending them.

Also on Wednesday we received an offer on our house, which we countered.  That buyer had until 7pm yesterday to respond, but at 6pm our realtor told us a better offer was waiting in the wings.  Having not heard from buyer #1, at 7:01 she sent us the new offer, which we accepted.  I don’t want to jinx anything by sharing too many details, but we’re very pleased.

Fingers crossed and mega vibes this works out and you have a speedy closing.

Inspection is scheduled for Tuesday morning, so things are moving right along.  Assuming no snags, we expect to close by the end of January.

DR Ginny, I am so happy you've sold the house! Things go smoothly when you're not saddled with two dumbass brothers.

But who's bitter?

Thanks, DR Elmore.  Yes, things have gone very smoothly throughout this whole process because Richard and I have been on the same page all along.

And there's the crank call by Bart Simpson that backfired when someone named Hugh Jass was actually in Moe's bar.
