The recipe called for three cloves of garlic. These cloves are almost as large as Brazil nuts. It will be garlicky.

For me, Brazil nuts are worse than Hazelnuts.

Love them in limited amounts

I have eaten enough hazelnuts to develope a bit of desensitation to them, and to also know I really don't care for the taste.  I rarely see Brazil nuts in anything except mixed nuts that I simply avoid them, and really have no clue if I like the taste or not.  My friend from Brazil says they are not called Brazil nuts.  I forgot what he said their name is, something I should remember when traveling.

A friend of mine, who is a few years older than me, said that when he was growing up, Brazil nuts were called "N-word" toes! :o

I have read that shocking detail, but not in Brazil.

Yes. My dad used to call them that. We ganged up on him and told him never to use that term in our presence. He complied.

Good for your father for changing a bad habit.

"Mozzarella penguins" scans perfectly to "Fascinatin' Rhythm" - can it be a coincidence?

My dad called them that, too.  That's what he always heard folks call them when he was growing up.  My mom explained to me why it was wrong, and they were always Brazil nuts to me after that.

When does the limbo begin?

I have a song "How Low Can You Go?" about a jealous murder-minded husband, that takes place during a limbo game.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yNe9VtWauf0

It's fiction, of course.

But in the show, the murder never happens, so there's a kind of happy ending.

Yesterday at the house next door there was U HAUL truck backed up into the driveway.

I thought maybe Michael has an eight year old son and shares the house with Roger was moving out.

Later the truck was gone and there was a new SUV in the driveway, so I'm guessing they got another roommate.

Went to Gelson's. I had fourteen bucks in cash and was determined not to spend one penny more than that for food for today. This is more difficult than you can imagine. Yes, I could have gotten a chicken Caesar salad, but I didn't want that. The first thing I went for was hot dogs. 7.99 for the dogs, 3.49 for the buns. But you can't get chili or red cabbage for less than five bucks so...

Jon Cryer has a new sit com starting up in January.

And he has completely shaved his head.  I am not amused.
