I knew Gretchen Cryer. I liked her very much. The last time I saw her, she was moving to California to be close to John. I arranged "Old Friend" for the cabaret act "Just Good Friends," and the New York City Gay Men's Chorus recorded it on their album "Love Lives On." It isn't on YouTube, but the Orlando Gay Men's Chorus performed, although I am not credited for the arrangement and that pisses me off.The arrangement begins 1:24 into the video.

The arrangement was "inspired" - if that's the correct word - by my friendship with actor Time Winters, my oldest living New York City buddy.
