There was a squall line that crossed the northeast yesterday, and as per usual, there are trees down all over the place. Unfortunately, an old rotted one that was just close enough to hit the house... hit the house. Knock wood, I have a great contractor friend, and great contractors who are responsive and actually take care of things in a timely manner can be very hard to come by...just about anywhere. I am very fortunate.

This all happened rather suddenly right at the end of December... I never planned for it myself, it was presented to me at the last minute when the local groups were about to announce their 2024 seasons...

I really hardly know it -- I mean, well enough to actually consider doing it myself. So I have much to learn in the coming months. And much planning to do, for a venue in which I can - at best - fit 6 or 7 musicians, me being one of them.
