We are not going anywhere today.  Not even one step outside.  I will have to be careful just walking in the atrium.

We are extra grateful that we have not lost power here.  That would have doubled their nightmare.

DR Vixmom when do you plan to leave for Florida?  Are you waiting until after the baby arrives or do you plan to head out once you know the Vixter is in labor?

Hey, we’re up to about 20 degrees.

Today’s high will be around 28.

Here, it's now 38°, but it's expected to get up to a high of 44° by 1:00.

Is there a script you considered writing that never went beyond the THOUGHT phase?

I am so excited for DR GEORGE for his Amazon purchases.....I may buy the SWEENEY TODD because I love both the score AND Josh Groban.

I have a few of his CDs and he is amazing.

After "True Detective: Night Country", I decided to give "Monsieur Spade" a shot (AMC+).

I like Clive Owen, but there were several things that put me off.  First, there is way too much reading needed by the viewer just to get the story started.  Short sentences stating and re-stating things (with minor adjustments) intended, I think, to amuse the viewer.  Je ne suis pas amusé!

Second, there seem to be about 15 or 20 "Executive Producers" you have to get through before the rest of the credits play out.  There are several times more producers than cast members.

And then the story starts off slowly.  Sam is retired in France, has charge of a little girl and is supposed to deliver her to her father.  No one wishes to cooperate.

I was in no mood....

I'd be curious (maybe it's been discussed here before) how you or BK or anyone here feel or did feel about what seemed to be a lot of narration in the movie "Barbie."

My impressions of "Barbie" were that it was a wonder of production design, but it rather left me a bit disappointed in the end.  The narration wasn't an issue for me, however.

Last night, I treated myself to a new series:  "True Detective, Night Country" starring Jodie Foster.

It promises to be quite something.  I enjoyed the first episode a lot, although I have some reservations about where it might go.  But, until it actually gets there, I'm going to keep watching.

We haven't watched the second episode yet.  I keep forgetting about it.

It won't drop until Sunday.

I also didn't mind the narration in BARBIE.....my favorite part was the songs of the KENS.....and poor Allen.....but that's just me.

And of course....Weird Barbie.
