I just come here for the novelty coffee mugs and their trenchant commentary on the little ironies of everyday life.

Don't quote you on what?

If you're sending money, I think you just need the "handle" of the person you're sending to.

Don't I need to sign up my bank first?

But don't quote me on that.

Some guy just called from the Washington Post. I tried be helpful by giving him as much information as I could.

And NOW you tell us? I suppose I wasn't supposed to give him your real name, either?

Some of these morons posting about classical musicals on Facebook make my brain hurt. I just answered rather harshly a person who clearly knew the movie version and knew nothing about the original show and the changes made for the film.

Mission accomplished!

I got my ice cream AND my two sammiches.  I ate the Reuben for lunch as it was already hot and ready.

The pastrami will be toasted at some point tomorrow for my lunch.

Tonight, I join my cousin Butch and his fiancee Sharon for dinner at the club.

Have we on HHW discussed the brand new commercial for Jardiance?

Jardiance 2024 ad
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AMHMU0YPFEc

But they still rhyme "easy to see" with "A1C" - no one cared that it's an identity rather than a rhyme?

This was the 2023 Jardiance commercial for reference.

There is also one other commercial that gets on my last nerve:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aNPuw4Ij_ks

It was cute only the first time I saw it, but it has aired every hour on the hour on TV today.

When discussing Jardiance, could you rhyme its name with nuisance?

There's also the butt-dial version.

That ad campaign must be getting good reaction to have a butt-dial version.

The Steve Miller Band certainly could make that rhyme work.

Just read that Spike Lee and Denzel Washington will remake High and Low, one of my all-time favorite movies. The chutzpah of this is beyond belief.

I had a laugh over one person saying her neighbor ran outside screaming and she didn't feel it.
