And so now my facebook account is linked to another email and password.....and facebook is completely unhelpful in trying to resolve the problem.

UNHELPFUL f###ers.

They will not let me log in or correct what someone else is doing.

SO if you are receiving messages from me on FACEBOOK that are more weird than usual.....it is not me.

AND F U Facebook for not helping in resolving the problem.

How rude! >:(

I remember a bunch of us signed up for Facebook when this site went down and we wanted to keep in touch. For a long time, you folks were about the only ones I was friends with.

I made sure no one from church was on my friends list. I didn't want them all to know what I was doing.  That held for many years ... until we got this new minister. He found me on Facebook through one friend. And then others found me through him.

I mean, you can't decline the preacher, can you?

I have heard from security people that the one app you should delete from your phone is Facebook.

I just spent 90 minutes weeding. It’s sunny and 80 out there. Feels glorious.

But for as much as I did, I feel as if I made no progress.

I also got to listen to more of Percival Everett’s Erasure, which is the basis of American Fiction. It’s hilarious. Makes me want to see the movie.

I don't have the app anymore.  I had it for a short while, but I just prefer using a browser, even on my phone.

I am curious if you will find the movie as funny as the novel.

Do you have to sign in every time you use it?

TOD: There are so many great ones, but my two favorite songs are Windmills of Your Mind and What Are You Doing the Rest of Your Life. I don't really know the scores; I should fix that.

Two more opera reviews came in. The Chronicle was a mixed review, focusing more on the opera rather than the performances, as is appropriate for a work that hardly anyone knows. We don't often get reviewed in the Chronicle, just for new or rare repertoire, so the publicity is welcome. Another blogger also came in with a rave review. I haven't seen anything from Classical Voice yet, but maybe that's just as well given their recent track record with reviewers.

DR Jrand73, that completely sucks. As I'm understanding it from you and others, there is pretty much NO WAY to adequately communicate regarding that kind of problem or anything of the sort with Facebook. My impression is that you can only report things in whatever ways they have set up, which means you get one canned response after another, pretty much regardless of the nature or severity of the problem. Such as, you know, little things like identity theft. I do not know why they're allowed to continue operating that way.

A mutual friend - BK knows him in L.A., Michael Gabiano - has been going through this with them, and they do NOTHING. Again, the problem is that you cannot properly communicate with them.

This is probably a stupid question, but in cases like this, DR Jrand73, is it feasible to go through the process of deleting your account entirely (which I think originally couldn't be done, but it's possible now?), and completely start over? You'd first want to make sure you know everyone you're FB friends with so you could contact them and say what you're doing, know what groups you're in that you'd want to rejoin later, etc. etc. etc.  Anyway, pardon me, I'm just rambling, which is what this kind of unjust thing tends to make me do sometimes.

EDIT:  I apologize for the question. I just reread your post. Holy moly on rye.
