Voldemort is basically a middle school girl: he has a locket, a diary, a tiara, a ring, and is completely obsessed with a teenage boy.

I would guess DR RODZINSKI is having a good time - all of the morticians I know are a lot of fun.

I envision them enjoying a nice banquet on the last night, followed by brandy and cigars and their favorite entertainment:
the always-anticipated annual showing of THE LOVED ONE.

The sun is out. I need to inspect the yard for damage.

Vibes that there was no damage!  Or as little damage as possible.

Okay kids, it's show and tell time.

I am one of the very few people in these United States who has never seen a production of GREASE, never watched the movie version of GREASE, and to my knowledge I've never played any of the music from GREASE. However, I'm about to play auditions for (wait for it...) GREASE, so I looked to see what materials I have in order to get familiar with the music beforehand. I knew I had a published score with the binding hardly cracked, but I'd forgotten that a couple of years ago a director friend had unloaded some items from productions past that he no longer needed or wanted, and because of its age and uniqueness and the fact that I love handwritten scores, I couldn't resist taking this one.

So for the viewing pleasure of a few of you, here's an artifact from way back, an early Samuel French rental score. You can't tell just by looking at the picture, but its pages measure 12.5" wide by 15" tall. A standard music stand won't accommodate it without a sturdy piece of cardboard or something placed behind it for support.

The inside pages are printed pretty much like the what's in the old "brown books" and similar (I'm blanking on the name of the reproduction process of older Broadway scores), but the front and back cover and the old metal spiral binding are unique, in my experience.

And I'm endlessly fascinated with various styles and "hands" in manuscript, and I wonder if DR Elmore or anyone can identify who might have done this one. Dig those crazy headings! Isn't that pretty similar to the LITTLE ME score?

One more -- And btw I did go through and compare with the published score, and there's virtually nothing different - nothing additional, nothing lacking - from either score. Content-wise, notation-wise, they're identical, or nearly so.
