We enjoyed a morning birthday video chat from the grandkid and family.  It was a nice way to begin the day.

Happy birthday to Keith!

Every other road in San Antonio seems to be under construction. It’s frustrating.

Oh hell, it was a real movie channel back then, very much in the TCM vein. And at one point, in no time at all, they took a huge dump on it and, as far as movies were concerned, it might as well have ceased to exist.

Last night was long a boring.  I kept looking for something funny - but nothing fit the description.

Gail and I had three other folks at our table....so I kept them amused with a running commentary on what was happening at the podium.  We were laughing and having a good time....

When I read boring I was concerned you did not have a good night.  I'm glad you had fun entertaining those at your table :)

My state senator was there and I talked to him for a bit telling him about his great aunt who had been my Composition teacher in high school.

She had lead a very interesting life - she was an officer in the army in WWII.  She went all over the world and spent a lot of time in Africa.  We loved to hear her tell her stories.

Cool.

We fought the Druid, woke the dead and I lost my pet mimic in a horrid battle that nearly killed me too.

It sounds like great fun.

I’m not sure if I have an ear infection or sinus thing going on

My headaches have been worse and I believe it is due to high tree pollen.

Here is photographic evidence of the soiree last night.  I am wearing the current rage - a casual shirt with a zipper closure....soon everyone will be wearing them....   Actually I found it in the closet and it sort of matched, so I wore it.

I will say that the Michael Strahan jacket I am wearing is one of the first ones I have purchased in recent years that really fits and is exactly the size it says it is.  If you need to buy a new jacket....check for his brand.

I think you look sharp, and certainly better than the men behind you in the photo.

As a former Indiana state employee.....I will tell you that Parks & Recreation was 100% on the money.....and they could have gone further.

Interesting.

Once I was at an outdoor table on 45th and 9th and saw Robert Osborne getting into a cab. I shouted his name. He looked over, I said “Love you!” and he gave the nicest thumbs up, and got into his car. A cherished mem’ry.

Awww :)

Sunday afternoon greetings!  It’s been a busy week with both book groups meeting (to discuss the same book, TOM LAKE by Ann Patchett) and yesterday a glorious tour with girlfriends of Music Hall in Cincinnati.  Of course, I’d been there for many performances, but never backstage which was quite a thrill.

Only reading one book is convenient, still I'm not sure I would want to discuss this one twice.

I believe DR John G. and DR Jane have read this, as well.

Yes.  I read it for my book group discussion.
