The laundry is finished and I'm taking a break before I put it away.

DR Elmore, that is awful about the shoddy plumbing work y'all are getting now.

Our building management is so stupid. We lost Val, the best super we ever had, in 2018 because the management refused to give him vacation pay. Everyone since them has been a dud.

I am happy for Val; he loves his new job. They treat him well.

Tonight, as it happens, I'm seeing something very special, that is not only great in itself but which holds a wonderful memory for me. It's Classic Tuesday night at the Bedford Playhouse, and tonight is Billy Wilder's One, Two, Three. I think BK has talked at length about this one, which it richly deserves.

As to the wonderful memory, it's simply one of being taken to see it on its opening night at the lovely Florida Theatre in downtown Fort Lauderdale. That's where we also caught opening nights, or at least opening weekends, for the likes of The Music Man, The Miracle Worker, Mary Poppins, Bye Bye Birdie, and many others ... always with full houses and appreciative, captivated audiences. I loved going to movies then, but I didn't yet know how rare a privilege it was to be, always seeing the latest releases with packed audiences. It also just happens that that first viewing of One, Two, Three remained the only time I saw it in a theater, until now.

I had the privilege of meeting Val a couple of times, and his wife, too, at least once. They were the nicest people, and I know he loved visiting Annabelle back then. He was so helpful at all times, and when we just happened to all be standing out front together, without even being asked he helped load my car with boxes destined for the libraries. You just don't throw away someone like that. And yet, to save a dollar, they did.

If it's a quiet posting day so far, maybe it's time to list the Tony nominees?

I'm not sure I understand the logistics of how there are seven nominees in two categories (Best Scenic Design of a Musical and Best Featured Actress in a Musical).

Maybe three nominees were tied for 5th place, so they had seven nominees in those categories?
