BK I am here!  Well you can't be mad at me for not showing up early to the smilies contest, since I did not know it would be today!

But I am very happy now. So I will prepare my entries.

Is it one per person? Or I'm guessing we can enter a few?

BTW, I think sometimes the "preview" funtion is very helpful. Yes sometimes it's easier to just modify your post after. But I used to always preview. And I still do, especially if I'm posting smiles or something that I'm not sure will turn out as I intend.

They finally got me my edit bay computer so now I can post until the cows come home, which is more than I can say for some people like Jennifer who was the one who wanted this fershluganah smiley contest in the first place.  And speaking of smilies, we need more entrants.

I loved Chapter Two on stage, and hated the film.

I think this whole smile contest is silly.  I think you will all be sorry that you ever started it.

www.broadwaystars.com hasa link around 2/3 of the way down to Talkin' Broadways List of Upcoming CD, DVD and Book releases which is updated every Tuesday.  The list is prepared by Max (Show Music) Preeo.

You can look at the whole list or click on this week's updates.  At the end of this week's updates today it has a list of films "rumored for DVD release in 2004" and among other titles such as CALL ME MADAM is

LI'L ABNER

I'm sure Benjamin Kritzer and the other BK are both excited about that and hope the rumor is true.

Also, I know there are a lot of Plaid fans here at HHW and you will be happy to know that on 12/9 a Xmas recording called "Plaid Tidings" will be released.  Just don't order it direct from the label it is on.

I did not know you were so familiar with Angels TCB.
WEL. Thanks for he link. I do hope we eventually get Show Music back in some form.
Jennifer: the French lyrics are very basic and are translated in the song anyway (or pretty much so).

I am seriously behind in reading all the posts (I do read the notes!), but I had to jump ahead and respond:

DR Ron:  It goes fine, thanks for asking.  :)

CHANSON
Chaque jour est un jour
Comme les autes beaux jours
Le potage, l'ouvrage,
Peut-etre l'amour;
Le soleil, il voyage,
Le monde fait un tour
Ainsi c'est toujours la meme ...

Did anyone notice my dog looks cuter today?

I only have time to vote for my favorite smiley face, not post one.  It is fun to see how many varieties of happy faces there are.  The bunny is cute, even if it isn’t a happy face.  TCB that is some smiley face you posted.  I might vote for the center one if it could be a bit smaller.  I like happy faces that are happy and not too busy.

Jay I gave you a Karma for making Thursday night’s arrangements.  Thank you.  See you in Sherman Oaks.

JB-NYC welcome to another Sagittarian.  When is your birthday?

Okay this is not exact.

Every day is a day
Like the nice/pretty/beautiful other days
The soup, the work (not sure about this line)
maybe love;
the sun, it travels
the world takes a trip
and it's always the same

You can be the hour glass if you want!

I'm not sure what they mean in the song by "potage". To me it means like soup. But french isn't my first language. Maybe DR Emily or DR Andrea or DR Francois would know more.
