I wonder if that's an off-shoot of the city of Elma's Slug Festival.  I used to be in a barbershop chorus, and we performed there once.  It was an interesting experience.

Does anyone read Francine Prose? I like her novels, one of which was the basis of The Glorious Ones (an under appreciated Flaherty and Ahrens musical). I have reading The Vixen, which I liked a lot in the beginning. But with less than a quarter to finish, I have lost interest. I will finish, but I am just impatient with it.
