Yes, Star Wars in Jazz was the Trotter Trio. I have no idea who the other trio is but I'm going to find out.

Yep, the Andrew Allen Trio - a little late to the party, Allen, really. 2015. We kind of beat you to the punch and we did it MUCH better, having listened to one track, which is all I could take. 1997, Allen.

Beryl may be on her way to San Antonio. It amazes me that Orange Junior is having conniptions over the name.

Beryl is my mother's name, and today would have been her birthday.

Wow.

Why?

He claims it's a nonbinary name and the naming of a hurricane shows how woke the naming process is. In other words, he's an ahole.

Are all unisex names now nonbinary.  If so it is a very lo g list of names ;D

Did I miss it? Did DR John G. report on how the fabulous strawberry cake was received?

People loved it. I think it needs toasted pecans or walnuts added for some textural contrast.

Not for me  ;)

At 7:00 we saw a tender heading to shore and were relieved to see it knowing  we could get to shore.

There is a large group of kayaks blocking the pier preventing us from going to shore.

It seems they don't want all these cruise ships here.

The German visitors (my uncle and his family) went to Northwest Trek Wildlife Park for the day, and when they get back, they want to take all of us to dinner.

Sounds like a lot of fun!

It was!  We went to the aforementioned Happy Teriyaki and I got my usual Love Salad with tofu and their "thick sauce" (which I think is just a thicker version of teriyaki sauce...and it's quite delish).

That's too bad, but on a happier note (G-sharp), you've reached a momentous millstone!

Yes, but when one has family visiting from Germany, one must visit late into the evening. ::)

(That's my story and I'm sticking to it. ;) )

This should make for a particularly good food repor!

Everyone had something different, and everyone enjoyed what they got ...but I didn't know what everyone ordered, so I can't repor on that.

Several of us (but not me) had leftovers to take home, but my mom forgot to grab her container, so she doesn't get to enjoy her leftovers. :-\

Does anyone read Francine Prose? I like her novels, one of which was the basis of The Glorious Ones (an under appreciated Flaherty and Ahrens musical). I have reading The Vixen, which I liked a lot in the beginning. But with less than a quarter to finish, I have lost interest. I will finish, but I am just impatient with it.

I love the score to the musical, The Glorious Ones, and I have the original book, but I've never read it.
