Does anyone read Francine Prose? I like her novels, one of which was the basis of The Glorious Ones (an under appreciated Flaherty and Ahrens musical). I have reading The Vixen, which I liked a lot in the beginning. But with less than a quarter to finish, I have lost interest. I will finish, but I am just impatient with it.

And that's too bad about The Vixen. :-\

This year JB paid no attention to them. Last year, he was bothered by them.

That's good!  Hopefully, they won't bother him in the future.

And then there is mildly geriatric teriyaki, made without MSG.

MGT without MSG! :D

There is a large group of kayaks blocking the pier preventing us from going to shore.

How rude! >:(

Then on Thursday, my cousin and his wife will either fly back to Germany or just go somewhere else, while my uncle and his wife will come back to Lacey and spend more time with my mom (his sister)...but I don't know for how long.

I have a cross-cut shredder, and my friend Shelly also has one, so I can use them both back and forth so that they don't overheat.

I also have a pretty full bottle of lubricating oil specifically for shredders, so that will make the shredding easier, too.

I think I know which kind of battery will work, but the couple of times that I've gone, Fred Meyer didn't have it in stock in the battery section out on the floor.

I'll try to remember (a The Fantasticks reference) to go when their jewelry department is open, and maybe they'll have in stock the specific watch battery that is needed.

I looked on their website and they may have it ("call for availability", but in a 4-pack...which I don't need. :-\
