I’ve been busy all day with cleaning and laundry and such and haven’t gotten to the tossing. Sigh.

My cleaning guy, Brian, came by last week and the two of us started packing some of the books. My inner librarian wanted books sorted and packed by author. We did quite a bit, then I pooped out and Brian did some cleaning for me. He’s a tremendous help. I wish he was available more often.

DR Jeanne, the whole affordability thing is just disheartening. It's everywhere now, but L.A. is hideous.

As I think back, as much as I really liked a couple of the places I lived in, I ALWAYS wished I could be at just the next level - in size or quality or location or what have you. And that was in a whole different world! Plus, I was a renter right up till the last place when a good friend offered to help me get into an actual condo, for which of course she could cash out when we sold it. And that was wonderful. But you would cry if I told you what I paid at each place. Hell, *I'll* cry.

I do wonder where the buyers come from for all the multimillion-dollar homes.

For me, it’s largely an exercise in how much I can get rid of. Do any of us need all the stuff we keep? I was so impressed with how organized DR Ginny as with their downsizing. A good example!
