Rehearsal was good tonight and now I have two days off from driving to the theeder....I would have three but there is a meeting of the bored on Sunday.
And hello to Jane, George, John G, and Singdaw!
I overheard someone tonight saying, "Well, I'm British. I didn't know what DEI was. But I heard Americans using it like it meant hiring people that weren't qualified. So I just assumed it stood for Donald Jr., Eric, and Ivanka."
I always like the middle piece.

The DH is watching Antiques Roadshow, and I'm looking around the place thinking "what do we have here that could net us a few hundred thousand dollars?"
The other news here was a big surprise. The daughter of the owner of my apartment building lives onsite and has always managed the building. Today that changed and a professional management company has taken over. It’s been chaos, Instead of introducing themselves and letting us know where to pay our rent we each received a cryptic text about signing up to their portal. Most people didn’t even know who sent the text. Then we each received an email reminding us that the rent is due today. We finally received a letter from them, giving us the necessary information. We can mail them our rent, drive to Sherman Oaks to hand-deliver it, or send it electronically for $2.49 each time, or an even higher change using a credit or debit card. My neighbor was livid. I called my bank, and a helpful person said that she’s seen this a lot, fees just to pay your rent. This does not bode well. I cannot recall a single positive experience I’ve had with a property management company — but many negative ones,
Our weather has been very nice, sunny and 70s. Not too hot. That will change in a few days, but to have not-hot weather in July is a pleasant change.
That's gotta count for something, right?
