FTR, regardless of not being asked, I am over the moon about freshly grated parmesan on a bed of lettuce with a very fine olive oil and a touch of red vinegar all tossed about for my eating edification.

Audrey and Ben Gazzara had a bit of a thing during They All Laughed.

I love her in that movie. It’s not great Bogdanovich, but it makes me smile v

Regarding BK's marrying Audrey Hepburn in his dream in the Notes:

In this era where the likes of Emily Blunt married the likes of John Krasinski, and the likes of Scarlett Johansson married the likes of Colin Jost, the possibility of the likes of Audrey Hepburn marrying the likes of BK doesn't seem far-fetched.

Cat is also curious about what is far-fetched about Emily Blunt being married to John Krasinski.  Is it the fact that one is British and the other American, or is there something odd about the pairing that the cat is  not seeing?

That's a good point, too.

Would you see anything unexpected about the pairing of Scarlett Johansson with Colin Jost?  Or going back some years, Anne Bancroft with Mel Brooks?

I dropped off some parmesan and some mushrooms at the church for the minister to take home. Yes, I cleared it with Mrs. Minister first.

I just dropped a chicken breast, some onion, carrot, celery, mushrooms, dried basil, a sprig of rosemary, and broth into a pot. Yes, I know I didn't cook it correctly, according to chefs.  But it should make a tasty lunch.

With parmesan sprinkled on top.

Because the block of cheese is actually 3-D rectangles pressured into a block. They came apart easily.

Not familiar with Jost, but Johannson must see something in him.   Bancroft and Brooks?  Wit!  Absolute genius .

None as "opposite" as the short-lived Julia Roberts and Lyle Lovett marriage, though. (rumored to be a rebound romance when Kiefer Sutherland dumped her).

Krasinski is talented, good-looking and rather affable.  Blunt is miraculously talented.  That's all I perceive.

Just before the alarm rang, I was dreaming about my friend Peter Foley who had been suffering for maybe the past ten years with an eye tumor that killed him three years ago. Peter had been one of my copyists at Toyland, and in the dream we were working on a concert of something - maybe his own music? - and he returned to me my miniature score for Britten's Young Person's Guide to the Orchestra, which was slightly wet because he had just washed his hands. I was telling him something like "You could have returned it soaking wet if it meant you were with us again" when the alarm rang and woke me. I'm a bit melancholy at the moment.
