I raced home from a mostly unfruitful shopping experience (with a joyful interlude - it is nearly Christmas) and still we have the welcome mat out up here and no new arrival.  Special rainbows for Jason. Remember UP isn't always the answer ' the gold is at the end of the Rainbow not at the apex'. Disappointments are there to make our tomorrows look excellent. I hope that does not read like oh so many meaningless platitudes. We care. Chocolate and/or ice-cream is the solution to all major woes. That's why they were invented and why the earth will never destoyed. We are the only planet with chocolate.

Did I mention the fact that after eating my delightfully low fat and delicious subway sandwich this afternoon, I came home and ate half a pizza with my sister?

I calculated in out.  Today I ate a combine 41 grams of fat.  5 from the sandwich and 36 from the pizza.

Oy.

DR Jrand: I think in high school we also had some weird schedule where everyday was different. We had day one to seven and everyday was different. They live to confuse students!

of course every day should be different... or else you always end up missing the same class!

Jason, I'm really sorry that you had a crummy day. I certainly hope that tomorrow is better for you. I hope that things work out for your bro and for your family, and all of you will be in my prayers. I just want to give you a huge hug and make you feel better. Maybe this site will help: http://people.cornell.edu/pages/slp29/bear.html

I have psychoanalyzed each of them separately, and it's official: Maya and Mark are perfect for each other.

For those looking for good news. François should be here at HHW in just over 12 hours. Have your French language, Walt Disney and Dame Julie Andrews questions ready.

I figured if everyone else was on a break, I might as well take one.  Glad to see people returned and that we had a fine posting volley.

oh I forgot to answer this. My best birthday present was meeting Josh Hartnett on the day after my 18th birthday. (That night, a 33-year-old waiter hit on me. That was fun, too.)

Now if you could find a 33-year old waiter who looked like Josh Harnett (or Jason) then you would really have something.

Do you have the waiter's number Laura? These things should be shared (I am not thinking of myself here!).

It's frightening when two Toms are out there thinking along similar lines. Now is it memories of waiters or 33 year olds? I forget where I was. am will be ........

hahaha TFO! I don't have his number, but a busboy there asked for mine. Oh, and my uncle was there, and he was pretty upset with the waiter for flirting with me in his presence. He gave him an ultimatum while I talked with the busboy: "You can have her after I've had you." The guy shut up then. It was hysterical. :)

Oh will someone give TCB some karma for me? The 72 hour thing is still in effect from before. TFO, you've been karmalized!

I feel so tacky with all this caramalised thing going on. TCB probably copes better. I'll see if I can pass it on.

Consider the caramel spread and returned. We appreciate the straight lines to use.

What, is everyone on a dinner break?  I'm getting out the bitch-slapping machine people.
Please don't bitch-slap moi; I was completely and totally entranced by ONCE UPON A TIME IN THE WEST and all of its special features on the second disc (I'll get to the commentary track some other day).

But, if you must bitch-slap me, please. . .treat me rough. . .

How's about a forty-something waiter who looks like Martin Mull?

I'm volleying!

May I just say how refreshing it is to see a great film, presented brilliantly on dvd? ? ?

[move=left,scroll,6,transparent,100%]ONCE UPON A TIME IN THE WEST[/move]

This is undoubtedly my choice for Best Catalogue Title Release on dvd for the year 2003, running neck in neck with Flynn's ADVENTURES OF ROBIN HOOD.
