RIP Dame Maggie. It's been great to see other people's memories of seeing her on stage. I never had that pleasure but saw her in several movies before the Downton Abbey fame. Now I think I need to watch some more.

Maggie Smith was great in so many movies. Kanopy just added Travels with My Aunt, which also features Cindy Williams. I loved her in Tea with the Dames, Evil Under the Sun and the Exotic Marigold Hotel movies.

A friend of mine had hip replacement surgery today. I was shocked that it is treated as outpatient, and they're already home and (with a walker) walking up and down their driveway.

He posted one where he recreated a 1980's Glamour Shot photo of his mother that's on his grandmother's mantel and sneaked it into his grandmother's house and replaced the original photo.
