Is it the 500th post that changed MichaelG to be called Hero member?

I have a speaking engagement booked for this morning. The booking was made in April. When I called this week to confirm, they had no idea what I was talking about. They forgot to put it on their calendar. They decided to go ahead with it. I'm hoping no one shows up; then I can just come home and still feel I have fulfilled my obligation.

Hope it all goes well!

I really like the YAHOO weather page.

Yahoo was my first browser when I got on the internet in 1998.

I use Google Chrome now - but I am drifting back to YAHOO.

I first saw ONE TWO THREE on the ABC Sunday Night Movie and loved it.

Billy Wilder - One Two Three, Sunset Boulevard, Double Indemnity, Some Like It Hot

James Cagney - The Public Enemy, Never Steal Anything Small, Mr. Roberts, Love Me or Leave Me, Footlight Parade, Man of a Thousand Faces

I'm following an auction, the first of which is very rare presidential stuff - several items have crossed the 100K mark. Who has that kind of money to throw around? 130K with buyer's premium, shipping and tax (if there's tax) on top of it. Most items going in the 40 to 60K range. On Invaluable, there are usually twenty to sixty people viewing - this auction? 450.

Now we're into non-presidential stuff - signed Charles Darwin picture currently bidding at 15K

Coming up shortly - signed composer letters - Haydn, Beethoven, Mahler and the like, then some rock and roll. Right now, Freud. Einstein, Nietzsche.

Einstein autographed letter just sold for nothing - high bid was 40K, which didn't meet its reserve.
