Watching Brother Orchid, an organized crime comedy with Edward G. Robinson, Ann Southern, Humphrey Bogart, Ralph Bellamy and more. It's sweet.

For Jewish people already back in the office, today is the workday affectionately nicknamed "Rush-a Home-a" - when you "rush home" from work early to be home in time to be ready for Rosh Hashanah beginning at sundown.

LOL, I have never heard that.

My favorite gas station was open.  Cash only with a $30 limit per car.

Filled mine up with a $20!  No long lines, but very busy nonetheless.

To restrict to a $30 limit, you have to go in and pay the cashier.

Great!

This was on CNN.

https://www.cnn.com/2024/10/02/entertainment/john-amos-death-daughter/index.html

"Actor John Amos died in August, but his daughter has revealed she only learned about it when his passing was reported by the media on October 1.

Shannon Amos paid tribute to her late father in a video shared on Instagram that showed the two dancing to the song “Dance with My Father” by Luther Vandross.

“I am without words…Our family has received the heartbreaking news that my Dad, John Allen Amos, Jr., transitioned on August 21st,” Shannon Amos wrote in the caption. “We are devastated and left with many questions about how this happened 45 days ago, learning about it through the media like so many of you.” "

This is very sad.
