Here's the link to The New York Times obituary for Teri Garr

"Teri Garr, Comic Actress in Offbeat Roles, Is Dead at 79
An Oscar nominee for her role in 'Tootsie,' she was also a favorite guest of David Letterman and Johnny Carson and a three-time host of 'Saturday Night Live.'”

Teri Garr and I shared a December 11 birthday - she was 6 years older.

I remember her appearances on the NBC Letterman show. Those two had some chemistry.

It's been another exhausting day. People thought rain was coming, so the lines weren't long. Then it didn't rain, so a steady stream picked up. But we ended up with three people less than yesterday, only 1,922.

I started watching The Zone of Interest. It captures the true boredom of the lives of these horrible people who happen to be living next to a concentration camp.  Sandra Huller is amazing as the prototypical hausfrau vacuuming floors and then trying on a mink coat taken from one of the Jews brought to the camp. Everything is so banal.

Sorry about steering you wrong, DR ChasSmith.     :(

It's okay, DR singdaw. Think nothing of it. I know you'll find a way to make it up to me... hell, even if it takes years. Right? Am I right?

I voted today, after figuring out all 12 races and 12 propositions. The top of the ballot didn't need any figuring out, but down ballot we have many races with multiple good candidates, and many of the propositions have decent arguments on either side.

TOD: I'm thinking of The Fugitive and Three Days of the Condor, in part because I've seen those two most recently. Many other fine choices of course. I guess I shouldn't leave out the first Indiana Jones movie.

So sorry to hear of the loss of your friend, DR Ginny. These things are rough. But you had many years of a fine friendship, which is to be valued.

Vibes of comfort.

I always try to have something to look forward to. In these times of election anxiety two things come to mind in 2025:

The adaptation of The Thursday Murder Club is scheduled to air.

The next Paddington Bear movie.

Ron, I think I would have less patience than you when it comes to maga relatives. I think sometimes you just have to walk away.
