I’m watching another Pierre Etaix film. Last disc in this set. This one is entitled As Long as You’ve Got Your Health. Four short films together, one of which is Into the Woods No More. Not a Sondheim reference.

Though the quality isn't as good, I find taking a snapshop of the photo and then forwarding it to my email address, I have the option to downsize it before sending.

Oh, my goodness!  I can't believe that I forgot to mention this!  When I worked concessions on Sunday for Olympia Symphony Orchestra's Orchestra Games, I worked with a new concessionaire named Merrily.  We got to chatting and I talked about the play I just SMed, and she mentioned that her cousin Tom Birkeland used to do plays before he died!  I said that I'd known Tom for many years and then we chatted about him for a little while!

What a nice connection you made.

There was a great visual in … Health. A pneumatic drill is causing everything to shake. Etaix sits down to play the piano, but it’s shaking so much, the notes all slide down the sheet of music.

First orchestra dress rehearsal last night went great. This is my first time singing at Bing and it was great fun. Here's my view:

Had a weird dream that I had been asked to conduct the first rehearsal of a Brahms symphony. It was to be broadcast. Someone stole my copy of the score, and I was under prepared. It was a disaster. Only the oboes sounded good. The regular conductor quit. I finally got the score and went to work, section by section. Then the oboes started to get mad. Somehow, while it was coming together, it was discovered that the oboes players,who apparently lived together on a farm, had started growing porcini mushrooms and were now able to finance the orchestra.

I want this to be a movie

It's a community chorus and community orchestra so it won't be perfect, but I'm sure enjoying it. And you don't get a chance to hear any of the pieces on this program very often.
