Four continents is good.   Peter Allen was only bicoastal.

Perhaps we should be doing The Continental for our arrival on page 2.

I watched the new hour-long Ben-Hur documentary.  The usual snooze-fest - a couple of archival interview, otherwise just boring new Hollywood types spouting off at the mouth.

Jane ran away.  Hisaka, don't just sit there like so much fish, say something lovely.  Say a lovely thought so that I shall sleep soundly and well.

When Petula Clark recorded the original (I think)version of "I Will Follow Him" it was called "Chariot".
I don't think it mentioned Ben Hur.

Anything for a post. the song was written by Frank Purcell and Paul "Love is Blue" Mauriet - but not under those names!

I wonder if they're sweet or swing low.

Perhaps I frightened Hisaka away :(

I was not frightened of you, DR Rodzinski. I know you are sweet, since I’ve read enough stories about you (I mean DR TPunk’s posts) to know that so far. :)  I was just hanging out around here, on the board and on the notes.

Glad to hear from you and to know you’re enjoying the trip, DR JANE.
Take a lot of proofs (photos) and share them us later. Look forward to seeing them.

Good morning, all!  I may be E&T for today and tomorrow.  I've got things to finish up here before the trip to Ohio.  This morning I have to work on a wonderful song "Weekend Cruise" (Will you love me Monday morning as you did on Friday night?) and finish up "Fun to Be Fooled" for the copyist, perhaps do some Toyland edits, and finish up Miss Prince's chart.

More to follow.

My Dog Loves Your Dog.

Anthony wants to do that song (complete with uke) in a show someday.

My, my waking up to 47 posts. How seemly

And now, I must get to work.

Enjoy your "Weekend Cruise" DR Elmore. Think I'm too old for that these days. I knew someone who used enjoy their weekend crews.

Good morning crew. We could do a morning radio show, but we wouldn't be shock jocks, methinks.

Daddy Wouldn't Buy Me A Bow Wow was in Anthony's British Music Hall show this past spring.

Sid Luft, Judy Garland's 3rd husband and father of Lorna and Joey, has passed away. There is an obit in the NY Times but that requires registration. Here is the link in case you're registered.

Pop songs I listen to a lot right now:  September by Earth Wind & Fire is at the top of the list right now but I just started listening to it again since Labor Day; That's the Way It Is, sung by Celine Dion; Through the Fire, sung by Chaka Khan

Pop songs that I listened to over and over when I was younger:  One Bad Apple, sung by the Osmonds (then called the Osmond Brothers); Turn the Beat Around, sung by Vicki Sue Robinson;  Him, sung by Rupert Holmes; Gloria, sung by Laura Branigan; Doesn't Somebody Want to Be Wanted and Point Me in the Direction of Albuquerque, sung by The Partridge Family; You Should Hear How She Talks About You, sung by Melissa Manchester.

But actually, one of my all-time favorite bubble-gum songs was indeed a song about a philanderer, called Nobody, sung by a one-hit, one-named lady named Sylvia.

Good Morning!

And, yes, I'm up before 10:00am on a Saturday morning!  -and since I did not head to bed until around 3:00 last night...

In any case...

And I and TCB wonder whether they swing left or right.
(TCB and I are very politically minded, you know).
