BK, be sure to go to your pharmacy and get caught up on immunizations. They have approved a few new ones for seniors. They might all be banned soon.

I can't get the latest COVID booster until January, but I've scheduled it before Jan 20, just in case.

This inspired me to run to the CVS site. I'm scheduled for Covid, Hepatitus B, and Shingles vaccines on Dec. 19. The CVS is five blocks from m,y apartment.

I can't believe I left James Joyce's The Dead, story and movie, off my ghost story list.

A couple of blessed days off.

And a turkey dinner in there someplace.

I'll take it.

Tooth cap and finding a dentist vibes for MR BK.

It sounds as if the physical went well with good results.  It is very nice that test results are available online to see.  And if some numbers can't be understood, there is always GOOGLE....for the most part.

Wednesday morning greetings!  We have a quiet holiday because I have to check every day this week and next to see if I need to report for jury duty.  So far I’ve dodged 3 bullets and it’s probably safe to assume that I won’t be needed tomorrow or Friday.

Jrand, I can definitely imagine the guy in your current avatar doing the ride-the-other-car's-bumper thing mentioned in last night's posts!

My sister Myrna tells me that my genius niece is learning to play the piano.

I don't think she is taking lessons, she is playing by ear.

I just remembered that I had a Yamaha PS-130 keyboard....so I think I will offer it to her for her niece (my great niece)....unless they have a piano, which I am pretty sure they don't.

The HepB really made my arm hurt; the shingles shot will make you feel crummy. Plan on staying home and doing nothing the next day or two. Pamper yourself.

Re BK's checkup:

My three words two weeks ago were village, kitchen, baby. But when I was asked to draw the clock, I had the feeling they'd asked me to draw the same time of day the prior year. And do you want to know what it was both times?

11:10.

I kid you not.

Two years in a row for me, and then for BK on the opposite coast? What's with 11:10, anyway? The only difference is that it sounds like they gave BK a picture and he had to fill in the numbers and the hands. Both of my times, I had to draw the clock face and everything on a piece of scrap paper.

I'll keep the PSS-280 for myself.

When I opened up the box, I found the receipt from Service Merchandise dated 9/22/1989 for a cost of $108.88.

"Your name will be called at our Merchandise Pick Up Counter before 07:18 p.m."

One thing that always used to annoy me at certain department stores is that merchandise could only be rung up in its own department.

You couldn't walk around the store and find things and then pay for everything all at once at one register.

ANNOYING.

If Yamaha PS-130 is in the series I'm thinking of, those are nice pianos.

I like them better than my Casio Privia - which is the best in the line they had at the time - and even with the additional bells and whistles mine has, I decided those Yamahas have a better touch and are a better sounding piano.

But they all get the job done. I'm playing the Privia in Wonderettes, rather than lug in the Kurzweil.

I hear you can walk to Privias in the rain and never wet your feet.

If you have to lug it, size is a consideration.

Here is my PS-280.....the 130 is the same only smaller, no headphone jack, and a few less voice choices.  The pic is from the inner web, mine doesn't have to note notes on it - I rarely play it in the driveway.

Not even sure if Yamaha makes these portables anymore.....
