Got up to go to the bathroom. When I got back, the DH had considerately left me about 1.5 feet of space. On a king-sized bed. So I guess I am up.     8)

I slept rather poorly. The cats behaved, but I could not get comfortable and I spent too much of the night trying to get to sleep.

Last night we watched the first three episodes of the 1983(?) BBC production of Mansfield Park. It's well done, the cast is game, but it's my least favorite Jane Austen novel. Fanny Price is such a droopy heroine, and the series, like the book is endless. Anna Massey, however, is a fabulous über-bitch Aunt Norris, but she's not as evil or rotten as the character in the novel.

I've been reading a book on Britten's operas, and the opera following the The Rape of Lucretia of 1946, before Britten settled on Albert Herring, was to be Mansfield Park!

I cannot imagine anyone finding a comic opera in Mansfield Park.

And I have posted twice now that yes, I watched it. And thoroughly enjoyed it.      :)

I slept nine hours. Felt great. Had two dreams. One involved choreographing a community theater production of On the Twentieth Century with a Broadway size budget. The first act closer ended with someone late for the train, running to catch it and then sailing in the air as the train moved on. We had to figure out how to do that. We got a gymnast. He held the pose while an unseen fan made it appear as if in motion. And the train and lighting made everything appear n motion. Audiences loved it.

The other dream had me sharing a dorm room with another person. A third needed a place to stay, but I had to much stuff. And the place was a mess. Then Mom and my sisters showed up to visit and there was no place for them to sit. I started throwing things away, much to Mom's horror.
