I think my next book will be entitled My Close Personal Friend, Mr. Stephen Sondheim. What do you think?

A guaranteed smash!

I'm sorry you had to cancel your trip, Ginny.  Maybe New Year's Eve.

Thank you, DR Laura.  Maybe not that soon because they’re going to see the other grandparents.  But whenever it is we have something special to do.

On New Year’s Eve 1999, while Richard and I were out, Rob (then 14) and my mother put together a Y2K “time capsule” in a large tin that popcorn had come in.  She typed a note that it was to be opened in 25 years, so now’s the time.  Rob took it to his house when we moved and we want to open it together.

Wow, that sounds exciting!  I hadn't thought in terms of this being the 25th anniversary of all the Y2K worries and brouhaha!

So far, I've written forty-six reviews in 2024 and I'm not through yet - will definitely get to fifty, no matter what.

We were going to buy a generator for our Ashland home in the country but the prices trippled.  We never did get one and we survived all outages over the years.  Fortunately none were too extensive like we had in Michigan.

We probably need a generator. It’s just so easy to keep not buying one.
