I must confess that this looks better...to me, at least. ;)

We came back here and he showed me some videos we wrote and he directed for Playboy - little short comic sketches with a LOT of nudity - I star in almost all of them (no nudity, per my contract). The funny thing is I had no memory of ever having done them - when I watched them I kind of remembered a couple, but a couple were like watching something that happened in a dream.

But the thing this afternoon was the straw that broke the Kimmel's back - their system completely malfunctioning and I have to pay the price. Just hope it can be fixed in the morning so I can actually enjoy the Do and Christmas Day. I'm tired of asking for vibes and xylophones - they've been great and have mostly worked, but this afternoon sent me into such a rage that I never ever want to go in again. A true comedy of errors sans the comedy and loading up on the errors.

Back, from four (4) hours of HELL, to wit:

The bank - No problem. In and out. Done.
Store #1 - HELL. They inexplicably had almost nothing I was there for, and someone I (happily) hadn't seen in years found me and put me through HELL bringing me up to date on their life and that of others. Pure torture.
Store #2 - HELL. Nothing fancy, just plain HELL. Every which way.
Store #3 - Piece o' cake, since it's right next door to Store #2 and I could walk in, buy one thing, and get my ASS out.
Store #4 - Walked in, took one look around, and walked right back out. I didn't need it THAT bad.
Gas station - Put 2 gallons of gas in the can I brought with me for the snowblower, etc. All fine, except it didn't spit out a receipt after I said "yes" to "do you want a receipt?"

The traffic:  I only got about four miles from my house (as the crow flies - till somebody shoots the bastard down), and it was HELL the entire way. From what I could see in a couple of places, the opposing traffic had it even worse. Still...

Yikes! :o

Finished an interesting book today. Truman Capote’s Summer Crossing. It’s totally predictable, but as a first novel, it’s good and points the way for what is to come. Some very good passages.

I went shopping today mostly for my sister.  She needed me to go to Trader Joes, Costco (including eggs), AND Fred Meyer (which is right next to Costco).

I went and brought her her stuff, then I had to go to Fred Meyer for myself.  It would not have been possible for me to get her stuff AND my stuff, so I went twice.

THEN, I went back to Costco for more eggs for my sister and for me.  I found out that the price of eggs at Fred Meyer made it worth going back to Costco. ::) Then, I came home.
